Does anyone know of a source for good quality (preferably not Asian) hardware for cheesetrays? I'm hoping I can get a few made for Christmas and would prefer a quality hardware set up so it doesn't break on the first cut of super sharp cheddar.

Sometimes, when they say " a brick of cheese", they're serious.

That's the hardware I want...but I can't tell country origin on it. Has anyone used one and can comment on their quality. There are quite a few sources for such stuff, but finding anything made in Europe or NA is hard to find.

Fred, a call to Woodcraft reveals that their slicers are made in Taiwan.

Fred have you tried these guys? They seem to have good reviews and they have replacement parts, from the reviews their customer service is  excellent.

They got Taco Bells and McDonald's. Chances are, they got cheese. 

Don't think there's a cheese I don't like. But, I've never tried Limburger. 

Thanks Gene, I suspect they are all Asian....oh well. But that place that Dadio linked is sure cheaper. BTW, I haven't tried Limburger either, but I'm told that with a slice of onion it's really good. OK, I'll take their word for it.

They are from Wisconsin too,and last time I heard that is cheese country, so if they weren't good they would have been run out of town by now, just my crazy logic.

Yeah, those weeds do get tall, don't they? He did get a couple of good suggestions, though. 

Nope, not sorry. I'm going to order a few of the ones dadio linked and see what they look like. All the talk about the bad smell of cheese has me thinking I'll finish the cheeseboards with shellac..after all, it seals in (and out)  smells; right?
