Popular Post Gerald Posted September 9, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted September 9, 2018 Maybe getting old , maybe tired , maybe it just is not that important. Oh you say what am I referring to. One I used wood and find jointery to make shop cabinets and fixtures. Having accumulated a fair amount of counter tops and divider panels from drugstores (MDF and particle board) it is time to use it. Started some cabinets with all screws, not much that could be glued. Various colors and even some covered in Formica. So you be the judge......,.lazy, tired, thrifty, or just don’t care. more later as this is the best materials I had. Gene Howe Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 What ever your reasons, that's a great reuse of the materials. Should serve it's purpose well. Cal 1 Quote
Artie Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 I’d call it being thrifty. Looks pretty good from here. Cal 1 Quote

HandyDan Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) Matches better than my stuff. Use what's free is my motto. It gets the job done. Save "pretty" for in the house. Edited September 9, 2018 by HandyDan Cal and Artie 2 Quote

John Morris Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 Looks great to me Gerald, I don't see anything wrong with re-using material as you just did. I had a buddy at work who replaced his kitchen cabinets and gave me a few of his old and tired 1970's uppers, so I hung them over my cut off bench and they are still there, old looking, particle board, but still standing strong! By the way, hang a few tools off the side of that side panel, and it'll all look like it was made for that! Cal and HARO50 2 Quote

The rest will be a mixture of colors from beige to gray to white. When we removed a wall at the craft vendor Friday I retrieved a gray door from the dumpster. Artie, Cal and HARO50 3 Quote

If you have a Habitat for Humanity Restore close Gerald, they are usually great sources for cabinet doors should you need more or want a different look. Your cabinet looks great from here...'course it's dark now too so.. What really caught my eye in the picture was that neon Chevelle clock...That is just plain cool! p_toad and Cal 2 Quote

We bought a 69 the year we married and we both loved it. So she found the clock when we moved here on 9/11 and got it for the shop. No Restore here they closed it. Looked when I was in Asheville but did not see doors , however they had a couple of full kitchens for under 600. Grandpadave52 and Cal 2 Quote
