August 26, 20187 yr I'm looking for a t track with a stop and scale with cursor to add to a miter saw station. The Kreg looks good, but to put the three pieces together, it's running about $85 for the three parts that don't seem to be in a kit, but purchased separately. Anyone have a system they use and like?
August 26, 20187 yr Here is the 4 pc. kit, kind of spendy like you said. https://www.amazon.com/Kreg-KMS8000-Precision-Trak-Stops/dp/B0009OMXN4 https://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/ttrack.html https://www.incrementaltools.com/INCRA_Track_System_36_p/tracksys36.htm https://www.rockler.com/universal-t-track-universal-t-track https://www.rockler.com/rockler-stop-kit-for-rockler-t-track-system http://www.eagleamerica.com/prod_detail_list/miter_track_t-track They all seem to be around the same price. September 29, 20196 yr Here's the first one tried before going to what's worked in shops for years....
September 30, 20196 yr I made that back piece wth the ruler about 6" high and, made a saddle and tightening knob for it. Its the stop. My saw is mounted so it never moves. So, the tape on the back piece is always accurate.
September 30, 20196 yr I used a track, then made my own stop block. To make a cut I mark beforehand, don't use a measuring tape on this rig but one could be added.
September 30, 20196 yr We could never find any accuracy from tall miter stops. After 50-100 cabinet door parts there would be irregularities to the sizes. If the miter stops weren't to the inner corner they always flexed.....
