DuckSoup Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 Flea market find, didn't have one so for 5 bucks I had to buy it. I believe it to be a Stanley #41 clamp-on level, attaches to a straight edge. Oddly the Stanley patent date, 6/23/1896, isn't for the level but is for the process of scoring the lines on the vial. p_toad, HARO50, Grandpadave52 and 1 other 4 Quote
HandyDan Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 Beautiful. Wonder what it cost to manufacture back then compare to what it might cost today. DuckSoup 1 Quote
Dadio Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 I think that one for clamping onto a framing square. Nice find, I haven't seen many of them, before. We used the ones that hung on a string or wire years ago, haven't see any of those for a long time either. DuckSoup 1 Quote

You at least wore a mask to cover the smile I assume? BTW...sweet find. I've never seen one of those in the wild before. DuckSoup, Gerald and HARO50 3 Quote
