Plans for Folding Chair and Table

Featured Replies

A friend asked me to make 4 folding chairs (all wood) and a folding table for their deck. I can design the table but need plans for the chairs. The table will be approx. 29" high so I will size the chairs to fit ergonomically with it. Can anyone point me to any plans or sites where I might find plans?

Many thanks!

Lew, I made a few of those. Gave some of them to family members. Kept two in our fifth wheel. Mine were oak, which may have been the reason everyone said they were too heavy. After lugging them around the country for a couple years, I'd have to agree.

I made some similar, but again with a curve.  Thompson's WaterSeal used to have the plans online, but they seem to have removed them.    I made  of cedar and keep them in the camper.  The seat nests inside the back for storage and carrying.

The first of these is for the chair I brought to Fred's today.
