July 13, 20188 yr Popular Post I was at the dollar store looking for the sidewalk solar lights for a buck. I had an idea and wanted some cheap ones. I used fencing board and drill holes for four of these lights. As luck would have it, a perfect fit with my 2 1/8 forstner drill bit. Its hanging out . in the sun charging now. Now that I have a prototype, my next one will be more precise Edited July 13, 20188 yr by Ron Altier
July 13, 20188 yr Popular Post Neat idea. What's your plan for use? BTW, Ron. Our leader is hounding me to remind everyone to please tag their new posts. I'm bucking for a raise so, your help is appreciated.
July 13, 20188 yr Author Popular Post What's your plan for use? My lady likes the solar lights and has a few in our back yard. She asked about the Japanese lamps and I told her I'd make one for her that would be different. I put the solar collectors at an angle so that they would all get sun most of the day. The light assy. came apart easily and I cut off/removed the unnecessary parts. As for the tags, I've been on this site so long it just slips my mind. I was in on the voting to give it the name, PWW. I'll try to do better, do you get a pay increase with a promotion?
July 14, 20188 yr Very cool idea Ron. Thanks for sharing it here. BTW, once you get everything lit up at night, we'll need to see pics of that.
July 14, 20188 yr Author Popular Post It was a nice idea, however she didn't care for it. Too bright for her. WHAT! Yes, we have been together more than 50 years and I still don't know her.
July 14, 20188 yr Smoothing the inside surfaces and painting with white enamel would almost double the light output.

July 19, 20187 yr I think most ladies don't prefer to have enough light to see the snake they are about to step on where as a man wants the light bright enough to see if that snake is a good un or a bad un... At one time not too many years ago my wife must have bought some of all those solar dim things she installed be pushing them in to the ground and are still laying all over the area.....
