Steve Krumanaker
That's a pretty piece of wood. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. steve
Fred W. Hargis Jr
That's awesome. I had some chunks of Bradford Pear from a tree that was storm damaged...I wish I had saved them. They got lost when we moved.
Cal
That is going to be a beauty for sure. What do you mean when you say that it has feather?
lew
That's going to a gorgeous piece! I like that you kept the natural edge.
Smallpatch
Hey that looks like you could make a set of hub caps real easy and as long as you didn't go anywhere they would stay on the wheel... Look at the lower right in first pic it has a crack but that is feather. Feather results in a small area of a crotch. Sometimes it can get very pronounced. Will try to get a better pic to show it. Some may call it flame. Cal and John Morris 1
HandyDan
Here is a Cherry box I turned years ago. The feather or flame is very pronounced in it. Gerald's flame should show a lot better when the finish is put on it.
