June 6, 20188 yr As some of you know, I received some pieces of exotic wood as a gift. It was all different and labeled , a few I'd never heard of. A couple of days ago I picked up a piece that had lost its label. It was dark brown with black streaks of grain thru it. Really a beautiful combination of colors and curls. I cut it up in small pieces for a glue up with Yellow Hart. The next day my allergies went nuts. Been that way since. I do use a dust mask, however sometimes I forget and I'm sure I did this time too. I need someone to slap me and remind me to put it on. Now I will have to suit up and clean my shop and machines I used. I need one of those 4 foot area fans
June 6, 20188 yr Ok put it on when needed. I feel for you. I am allergic to many things also. Preston

I've started taking a 1x generic OTC form of Zyrtec and as needed 1 spray/nostril of generic OTC (Walgreen's brand typically) of Fluticasone for seasonal allergies (which has become almost year round) especially when mowing, trimming, cutting brush etc. It has made a BIG difference. I haven't done much cutting or sanding since doing so, but what I have done it seems to have helped as well. I know some woods are worse than others too for some. BTW...you're not alone forgetting to wear a mask so maybe your wife would be willing to slap me too. Edited June 6, 20188 yr by Grandpadave52
