  My Dad was a WWI Vet, and he faithfully bought the red Poppies on Memorial day, and I do the same .

Thanks, Gene. I recall from a documentary that New Zealand had lost the most men (100,000?), either in terms of numbers or %s, in either WWI or WWII.

That is correct, New Zealand is a major part of this day, ANZAC.

I think 100,000 is a couple zeros off.

Here is the official count. Even so, that was around 10% of those who served.
