Very Complex, Random Design Cutting Board

I can see making one for mom, but with the material and time involved you'd have to charge a fortune

Good way to use up scrap, but I am not into random patterns, I prefer the more geometric, but really admire those that make the illusional patterns. the time and work involved is beyond my realm.

Yeah, like that. Havn't seen a design like that before, very original, well done.

It's shor purdy. But, when my scraps get that small I re name them...kindling.

Back in the day I made a bazillion cutting boards as I did craft shows during the Christmas season. I came across a design for "3D Cutting Boards" which had a great look. Upside they looked really cool, but down side is that they took waaaaaaayyyyy too long to make so there was no profit in them as they took more than double or triple the time of the other styles of cutting boards I made. I had a neighbor that wanted me to make him one but larger to set on his kitchen island. It turned out good, but that was the only one I made.

as you learned, people like hand crafted items, like your boards, but people don't like paying for them.

Made some using the CB Design program one year and that was not too bad. Would not want to do even one without the drum sander. This design he used is eye-catching but way too time consuming and maybe need a gallon of glue.

I thought about making a complex cutting board, but no. However I did make a dedicated one, nothing fancy, but very purposeful, made it 20 years ago and it is still on the cutting edge, still  cutting our pizzas:D

I like the various artistic designs for the CBs but my primary concern is the damage done to them by actually using them to cut and chop.

During my cutting board phase years ago this is as complex as I got:
