Why does a week always have to start with a Monday?

Shop is usually closed on Mondays.....so why  not start the week on Tuesday?

Anything getting done, out there?

Needs a door and a small drawer, then the finish....maybe by next weekend?

That is one really AWESOME looking project! Great job.

Well, you get the general idea...time for another pint of caffeine here!

When you're retired, Monday is just another day

Been retired a looong time. But, for some reason, I still look forward to fridays. Force of habit, I guess.

Last time I checked the calendar, Sunday was the first day of the week.

It will be soon.   Next Monday is my last one at where i've been since 1977.   It's easy to see where things are going when they talk about budget reductions and the only thing IN the budget is headcount.

After 40 years !

BTDT Pete early in '09...Friday the 13th in fact...worse part for me that day was telling all my direct reports at that location they were going to be laid off in two weeks...I already knew my fate, but didn't share it with any of them for over  a week and only then when they asked during a staff meeting. They just assumed I wasn't impacted. I pulled every string I could for them to no avail.

Later than year, while still on lay-off, I got a phone call (real personal) from Corporate H-R saying my position had been eliminated. I knew then it was time to bail...fortunately I had the needed "points" (service time + age) to retire...turned out to be one of the smarter decisions I've ever made.

It's scary when you first do it, but it will get better...trust me. Pulling for you...if I can help in any fashion, don't hesitate to PM me.

Thanks Dave.   Still muddling through all this.  <_<
