Well, this was new to me- an "Appetizer Board". Apparently you load it up with finger food and place it in the middle of a table so party guests can serve themselves.

Made from maple, walnut and cherry. Breadboard ends pinned with poplar dowels. 14" wide x 48" long x 5/8" thick. Finger holds in each end to facilitate lifting. Small rubber feet at the corners. Finished with mineral oil and beeswax.

Hope the recipients send me a photo of it in use!

That is "purty" Lew.

I have to admit, never heard of one of those either but I'd say you nailed it!

Gonna' be some impressed guests when they get to the bottom of the grub,

Or at least invite you to the party! ;)

and you are gonna let people use that???

oh the shame...

I am another one who has never heard of that before. Real purrrty  I like the way you did the ends. Have to have some long arms and wide doorways to carry that out loaded with  appetizers.
