CLEAR COAT - ANYONE US IT ON WW'ING

Featured Replies

TITLE IS QUESTION, COME ON?

I use it occasionally on woodburning to keep wood from warping ( both sides and edges). just as good as poly for sealing and easier to  sand between coats. not recommended for surfaces that get wear.

Buck, I clear coat everything with clear lacquer. Only thing I ever use for a final coat ..For inside only...

I love Shellac. Not crystal clear but you can see thru it.

I've used both Rustoleum and krylon's clear coat in a rattle can after Watco, as a sanding sealer before final coats of varnish. FWIW, the Rustoleum works as well for that purpose as the Krylon and, a lot cheaper. I wouldnt use either one as a final coat on anything.
