Hot off the press....

I just read a post over at LJ. The poster had been in contact with Bosch asking them to consider bringing their track saw to the US. (didn't even know they had one!). Anyway, they eventually replied that was their plan, and it would be introduced in the US in May. I normally pass these type of posts  by choosing to wait and see. But this guy displayed the Bosch reply in the post....so I'm assuming this is verified. Regardless, it will be interesting to see the saw. I'd bet they out-Festooled the Festool model.  (says the guy stuck with a Festool).

YEAH!!!

I'm at a loss to understand folks buying track saws when it's so blamed easy to make one. A piece of BB, a T track and an insert on your saw and, you've got one. Mine is super accurate.

I agree,Gene, and you don't have to buy a new saw to match, use your old reliable saw. We did just fine back in the day with skilsaw sleds, cut a ton of sheet goods with them, a sling of plywood one sheet at a time right off the top of the pile.

Yep, I use my ancient old Skil 77. The track works just as well on slabs or lumber as well as ply. The cut is ready for glue up or ripping.
