I got an idea a while back and have been working on it for a while. I kept tinkering with the idea and colors. I'm not sure if this is the final version or if I'll make changes. I used Zebra wood for the wings and tail, Yellow Hart for the head/body and a small plastic bead for the eye..

That's Cool! The zebra wood really adds to the realism of the feathers.

I'm not liking the square and am thinking about a free form in the shape of a cloud. I'm going to make a few drawings of shapes that will enhance the bird and improve the whole thing

I'm still tinkering with it. I've added a couple more small pieces of Yellow Hart, I'll let it set and look at it now and then. If nothing pops in my head......I'll leave it as it is.

Just a thought to darken or burn the edges of the cloud so when hanging will look like a frame. The bad part of stepping in a new direction for me is I keep thinking of things I can add or embellish. Oh well the life of us eclectics

Me too. However, I present the thought to my wife, who is a very insightful, creative person.

If she says no or maybe not..............that is usually where it stops 

I never follow my wife's suggestions. I'm always sorry.
