Melting Block Puzzle

Featured Replies

Does anyone have the block dimensions for this puzzle?  I saw them listed in Lumber Jocks Site but couldn't open them.  It is also called The Red Stone puzzle.

The link won't work unless you copy and paste.

Sure don't...that phrase on the video "Puzzle for Geniuses" takes me out of the running.:P

I've seen this before somewhere in a magazine or??? where it gave the dimensions; I just don't remember where.

Hope someone has the answer Dan. I'd like to know too. It would be cool to make for my grandkids.

I've got it downloaded. The author didn't add dimensions but it is scketchup. Let me work up the dimensions and I can either post it here or email it to you

Google  "melting block puzzle"    scroll down to  Crafting Wood Logic Puzzles then open page and it lists all the sizes.  Roly

Roly, I Googled my butt off and couldn't find that Thank You.

Lew, thank you too.

I knew you guys would come through.

Aw, you guys beat me to it.   There is a guy, Tom Lensch, near here who is a wooden puzzle-meister.   He has demo'd at the club a couple of times and this is one he does.  A lot of his puzzles are calibrated in thousanths.   He said once that one side of his planer just 0.002" deeper than the other.   He has a book , https://www.amazon.com/Books-Tom-Lensch/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3ATom Lensch

Apparently, the link is now dead. It was a story about how MS sent out an update (UNSOLICITED) and trashed computers running AMD processors. People woke up this morning and were unable to boot up their computers. Of course MS apologized and stopped the forced updated until they can "fix" the issue.

Here is a valid link.
