December 19, 20178 yr Popular Post A couple of weeks ago, my 22 year old shop vac bit the bullet. So I put a new one on my Xmas list. So now it's sitting in the box in the basement. In the mean time, I've routed a lot of rabbets and done a fair amount of sanding. So I have piles of sawdust all over the floor (I have been sweeping them out of the traffic flow) and getting a lot of sanding dust into the air. I mentioned this to the wife this afternoon and she said, "Go ahead and open it. I'm not going to wrap it and I am not going to haul it upstairs, just to have to haul it back downstairs." I love her. I think that's my first in-shop task tomorrow morning.

December 19, 20178 yr Author I have a d/c connected up to the jointer/planer, table saw, and miter saw. This stuff was all from the router, sander, and biscuit cutter, the latter two are normally connected up to the shop vac.m Did manage to connect up the little portable vac to the Kreg. Love the new one. A 6.5 gal Ridgid. Quiet and powerful suction.
