December 8, 20178 yr comment_133630 I have been wanting a bandsaw for a while. I don't need one a lot but I think it will come in handy from time to time. I am looking at a Wen bandsaw. It is a 10 inch saw with 6 inch resaw capacity. It is a two speed saw and comes with the fence and miter gage. It cost around $220 and every site I go to it has really good reviews. Does anybody here own one or know of another good saw around the same price. Thanks Report
December 8, 20178 yr comment_133634 Even for light use, 10” is pretty small. For 220 you could probably find a 12” on Craigslist. I’d wait IMO. Good luck with your search! Report
December 8, 20178 yr comment_133636 If you're convinced a 10" will serve your needs, you might want to compare the Wen 10" to the Rikon 10" model 10-305. I have the Craftsman 14"( made by Rikon ) It's about $200.00 more than the 10" saws but a lot more power and considerably more depth of cut. I've found it to be a good saw for the money.
