Wood Bargains?

Featured Replies

I get spam emails from a wood store. Today on cyber Monday, I got a hot deal offer on a stool with a cushioned seat and on wheels. SAME one I purchased a few months ago. The cyber offer was $39.95.  What a deal!!  I paid less than $30 for the same one 5 months ago. I know you are wondering which store I am talking about. Starts with Wood and ends with Craft. I have yet to find a good deal on anything they offer on sale. Am I wrong?

I did get a bargain from them about two or three months ago . I got an e-mail saying 5 dollar router bits for one day only. I ordered early that morning an got some of all listed. Then about a month later, same deal but different bits but I waited till that afternoon to place the order and most were already sold out that time. There was no warning before either day.

I really believe ALL online retailers have the best Cyber Monday deals about a month prior to today. (Same with Black Friday)

There are so many stories just like the one you related, Ron, that you have to believe it's all hype.

According to the experts (whoever that is), the week prior to Christmas yields some of the best buys at least on electronics (TV's PC's, etc.).

Can't speak to everything, but I've found some great deals on sweaters, shirts, etc. the week prior...sometimes the selections are limited...

On line ordering is how the world is going. We did nearly all of our shopping that way, delivered free to our door. Keeps this ole guy out of the malls. Sure make me wonder how the big stores are going to continue.  About 10 miles down I-25 at Castle Rock,  they are building what will be the largest shopping area in the US. Could end out being the biggest mis timed retail shopping construction ever.

All our Christmas gifts are bought and awaiting wrapping. Never set foot in a store. But, while in Tucson, we drove by a few mega malls. Not a parking place to be seen. They were packed.

I’m expecting a lump of coal.

A rock that burns. That’s cool!

Until you light it

Wife was in a store in August that had a bunch of their toys 50% off.   Got Legos and games and took care of most of shopping for grand kids.

Found a Bosch 12v Drill Driver Kit for sale $99 everywhere.  Looked to see what CPO had to offer.  Same price &99, or if you wanted a reconditioned one, it was &110.

Get the reconditioned one. It costs more so, it must be better.

Like Ron says..

Learn to spell  A M A Z O N .  Not too far away from refining methods for your to choose groceries on your computer screen and have them delivered free.  Bye bye Wally World's grocery side..

Guess I'll need to run out tomorrow and do my Christmas shopping.

Try Woodpeckers and or Peachtree-----many opportunities at those sites---works for me.
