October 25, 20178 yr I've been making Christmas gifts. Team mascot plaques. I cut them out, paint them as needed and spray a clear finish over them. All is good. Today I finished 3 of them and took them outside to spray the clear finish. However when I started to spray, I sprayed one of them white. The spray cans are nearly identical and I had picked up the wrong spray can. I hustled back and tried to wipe off the quick drying white. NO luck. I tried some turpentine, and did get most of the white off and that also messed up the latex paint under it. Just wasn't my day. Edited November 18, 20178 yr by Ron Dudelston tags added
October 26, 20178 yr A coat or two of shellac can seal it up so you can start over with a clean slate. Never any fun when things go bad.
