Help!! Facia Board Angles

Featured Replies

For the life of me I cannot duplicate this angle. Compound angle, at facia corner. I have the two dry rotted pieces to go off of, but I just can't get it right.

Can someone please teach me how to arrive at the proper compound angle for this? Thanks

Can you use the rotted boards to set your miter saw? Just rub the blade against the cut, adjust until it's the same angle. Otherwise it's 2 measurements with a protractor (a digital one would make this easy).

I did that Fred, that was my first go too, don't have a protractor at all.

Ya, it got me closer, but not right on. But close enough I made it work. Nothing a little painters caulk can't cover up.

Is your blade square or is the angle scale off?

Heck it could be Bill, I have abused the heck out of that saw the last couple months, I had not thought of that. I'll have to check it, thanks!
