Old guys can do this

I had an idea for turning something unusual. I sat down and drew up plans and made drawing. It involved cutting angles and drilling holes, Some were thin cuts. I drilled the holes and made the cuts...........HOWEVER, I dropped the darn thing and it broke into MANY, Many pieces. I just looked at that mess that took me hours of planning and walked away. Didn't cuss, didn't do a thing, not even clean it up. I just walked to the outdoor swing, where there was a cool breeze, and took a nap. :-)

Old guys can do that, you know.

Sorry about the project Ron but I really like your solution. I was looking for an excuse to take a nap...now I have one...Ron A. broke his project. We all should support him.:P

A nice nap is a great solution to many frustrations.

Us old guys usually don't need an excuse, though.:)

nothing like a nap...

it is good for one to be well rested before cleanup!

Yeah,  I always lay down on the swing without thinking to wipe it off first too.

remembering is the issue...

not learning...

when i make too many mistakes in one day, it's time to turn off the lights and lock the door.  try again tomorrow.

That is the answer, but the nap will make a good afterthought

Great solution Ron. If at first you don't succeed take a nap.

 LEW SAID,   Didn't cuss----

You're a better man than me!

One of my  high school teachers, a man I greatly respected and a great mentor, taught me something about not cussing when you do something dumb. We were in a class of about 30 kids in high school when he picked up a very heavy book, it slipped out of his hand and came down on his other had with a lot of force. His face immediately turn red and I knew he was going to cuss or swear.   Instead he bluted out "You big dummy"

From that day on, I adopted that practice.  It was difficult at first, but I did it.:)

  • 2 years later...

What I learned to do was to say... The devil trying to make me swear.

The devil not going to make me do anything... I win... Ha Ha...

Navy training

They say cursing displays a limited vocabulary. I never was good in English class.

I use Russian and Ukrainian, this way very few know what it is I said...…. :throbbinghead:

I work alone. Only the dog can hear my outbursts. Then, she's out the door!

Sometimes....I even cuss in Vietnamese until I start to throw objects.....then it is quitting time.
