August 21, 20178 yr Popular Post Now don't go and get all excited, it was just practice. I saw this free plan so I downloaded it to have something to go by. I drew it up in VCarvePro, got stuck, sent it to Mike...he fixed it and sent it back. Thanks Mike. It cut out nicely. So here it is, a simple spaghetti measuring tool. I carved my daughter's name on it and labeled it 1-4 portions. 1/2 inch Baltic Birch. No finish, just cut and a light sanding. A pass with a small roundover bit would make it look a little nicer. August 23, 20178 yr Turned out nice Mike. Simple projects like this give you experience with using the software and also help use up the scraps in the pile. I did notice that this one does not include a hole to measure a portion for a hollow legged teenage boy, but of course it would have to be much wider and longer for that. They also make nice small gifts to say "I was thinking about you, hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it for you".
