Yellow with gold glitter

I am still tinkering with ornaments, when I don't have honey dos. I was wondering what bright yellow would look like with gold glitter.  It actually looks a lot better than the picture shows. The camera can't capture the sparkle.

That's pretty neat! Did you add the glitter while the yellow paint was still wet?

I first painted with flat yellow, smoothed and repainted. The glitter comes in a clear semi-liquid and I put it on next. It doesn't dry quickly and I waited overnight. I gave it a couple of coats. When it was dry and looked good, I sprayed with Rustoleum 2X clear gloss. That really brought out the sparkle.

 

Oh yes the glitter comes in several colors in a box....................a whole dollar at the dollar store.
