Well pretty cool...I like the gull-wing doors...that's pretty snazzy! How many miles to the volt does it get?;)

For that matter, what kind of a car is it? I'm not up much on these new fangled electro-mobiles or in all honesty much of anything new.

Dave, it's a Tesla. Those gull wings are cool.

Can you open those doors in the garage???

Finally, a backseat door that gives you room to get out of the car

Fred its got sensors that tell it where the wall is and it will open accordingly. The mirrors fold in automatically in tight places.

I think it will do 0 to 60 faster than a Corvette? 3 point something seconds, but will only go 85. But believe me, it will get to 85 very quickly and through you in to the steering wheel when it get to that speed. Coming to a stop like at a red light if you let off the gas pedal it slows very quickly cause it charges the batteries much like the Prius we use to drive.

If you want to drive higher than normal it will raise 4" for better road clearance as you are moving.

They did have to sign some papers saying they take responsibility if they crush young- ungs in the doors!! Not kidding here!!!! Seems like they had a few days of classes before they could actually drive it.

Just raise up out of the seat or get out and it locks down so an intruder can't steal it.

No dealerships in Texas. She lives in Austin and drove to Breckenridge yesterday. Going to Abilene today to buy their mom something.

But getting to a repair shop might be a hustle or would that be hassle?? I wonder if that was thought over before signing the dotted line. They had to buy it from a dealer in California.....

If there are passengers in the rear seats, 6 seats in all, its not good to open the gull wings and the trunk lid at the same time for the water will flood in on the rear seats .

It has sensors that read the speed limit signs and adjust accordingly. This is something that's been needed for years.

I hope it has sensors that will not let it move if the driver is distracted with talking devises or drinking or doing drugs... My pet peeve. The driver apologized for killing those 14 old folks in Texas for he admitted using a cell phone at the time of the head on crash about a month ago. A person following him had already called the police on him telling them he was all over the road either drunk or on a phone or drugs!!!

I have more questions for safety sake. If the car goes out in high water, will the doors open automatically and if so would the people have survived if the doors had stayed shut to keep out the water????

There is much more to this car but hey, it ain't mine so I won't worry about the rest of the story.......

It does have a bio hazard mode for it will lock all doors and pressurize the interior if needed!!!

At least this car was made in the US, but hey, if one of the Auto makers thats been here forever would have come out with something like this, don't you think America would have responded differently?? It just seems like we like to wait and see how things are accepted before the thinking  minds start turning!!!!!!!!!!!

That is really cool!  I see more of them all the time.  I read the other day that there is a truck mfg selling elect vehicles.  I think the truck is only good for 85 miles per recharge.   I think they are mfg in IN.  Danl
