Another Pearl Harbor Veteran Returns

Featured Replies

Pearl Harbor Day was my Dads Birthday too and I was 4 years old then and remember listening to the News on the Radio.

I read this article and was very touched, so I will pass it on to you Patriots.

Thanks for posting Herb. I remember the day. I was 10 at the time. I've read some of the stories from that day and the bravery of the men who went thru this hell.

Thank you for sharing.

My sister and BIL are to to hawaii for a conference in June and one of the tours they are going on is Pearl Harbor. That is a tour on my bucket list

Unfortunately, my 4 trips to Hawaii were stopovers thanks to my favorite uncle Sam so travel was not an option.  I visited there in college but the memorial wasn't  completed.  Since we lived on an is and (Puerto Rico), my wife has no desire to go to Hawaii but if I ever do get there, the Arizona memorial is a must do.

I was not aware that the surviving veterans of the Arizona could be interned there when they passed on. The first thing I did when I retired was visit the  Pearl Harbor Memorial it was a memorable event.
