After seeing the star burst table a friend in SD made using this Micro Jig MicroDial, several ideas for smaller projects popped into my mind. So, I ordered it from Woodcraft.

It rides against the fence, which is a plus, can be set to within 1/8th of a degree and has pre sets so it can be returned to previous settings. It also has rise and run settings...which I don't need. Or, you can mark your angle on the work and set it to your mark. 
Like all shop toys, it should be enjoyable to use. I'm sure it will be.
