April 8, 20179 yr Door number one or door number 2 or 3.. I got this in the mail today . It came from the VA about 175 miles from here. It looks like the govt or the VA stamped and entered the correct charges on the envelope before it was sent. Actually it has two pieces of paper, one on top of the other like maybe the first one had the wrong charges so they covered it with the right charges. Anyway the mailman who puts the mail in our rural box added this card with 1.00 charge added to it for us to pay. I wonder if this mailman has started charging a tip cause a person would think the right charge for delivery would have incurred from the starting point since it was a govt. issued machine who probably weighted it before affixing the amount the govt will get from the VA to carry out their action.. Now it might be known where the extra money is coming from for the new govt to lower the debt. One dollar at a time!!! Put that is your smoke and pipe it!!! Edited April 8, 20179 yr by Smallpatch
April 8, 20179 yr I'd take it to the [post office and have them check it. Maybe the mailman IS adding his tip. I was once that manilla envelopes with metal clasps have a higher postage than those without. Edited April 8, 20179 yr by lew
April 8, 20179 yr One dollar at a time won't kill you. Wait until the add a $100.00 a week on for building a wall. But your good with concrete so maybe you can work it off.
April 8, 20179 yr The return address is from a DAV Medical Center located in Big Springs ,Texas. Is this a medical center you normally are connected with? Your local post office should be able to clear it up for you.
April 9, 20179 yr Used to see that more years ago. Apparently their mail weighing postage machine is out of whack at the VA.
