Going to have department meeting and working uniform inspection. the Marines were ready for inspection in 2 minutes. 4 different navy officers tried to organize the ranks for almost 25 minutes. I never knew "Tall guys to right, harch" was part of close order drill.

So what we have here I believe, is Navy folks are very inquisitive, thinkers, and they tend to over think things, unlike us Army and Marine folks, we just listen and do it.

I still tell folks, I wasn't in the military, I was in the Navy. the Navy didn't really care how fast you could complete a 10 mile hike with a 50 pound pack or how well you could shoot a rifle. They wanted folks who could work 12 on/12 off for 70 to 80 straight days and kill the fat slob who had the bunk above yours and farted in his sleep.
