Ron Dudelston Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 100 years ago today, the United States was thrust into the "war to end all wars". It was a brutal war that involved warfare like none seen before or since. The treaty following the war forever changed the map of the world. May we pause today to honor those who fought so bravely in that war. This CSPAN video reflects on World War I. https://www.c-span.org/video/?425800-1/100th-anniversary-us-entry-world-war p_toad, Chips N Dust and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
lew Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Saw this earlier today. Looking back, it seems like we are always at war with someone. Tragic loss of life. Quote
HandyDan Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 If we could figure out how to stop people from murdering each other we wouldn't have war. There is no reason for either. There is no reason for any crime but there isn't a second goes by without it happening somewhere. Why? Head shaking. HARO50 1 Quote
Grandpadave52 Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 To the brave men & women who gave unselfishly of themselves to liberate those from oppression, aggression and grievous acts we'll forever be indebted. May we all someday learn from our history but never let our guard down toward acts of evil. Chips N Dust and p_toad 2 Quote
