April 6, 20179 yr Popular Post I made this one for my better half...... She wanted to have a cross represented.... So, I went a bit overboard with that.... Inlay on the top and centered on the base on the front, right & left side.... Laser etched a cross & her name on the inside right mirror and her favorite bible verse on the rear mirror. The mirror etchings were lasered in, ironically, mirror image on the back side so it would read properly when you look at it... and, painted (over the etching) with her favorite color... purple. This is modeled after an old "WOOD" magazine plan..... I just embelished it a bit. Morado and Teak..... Brusso hardware throughout.
April 6, 20179 yr That is a beautiful piece of work! The wood is gorgeous. Your Gal must be very happy with it.
April 6, 20179 yr Words can't describe the fine workmanship, and selection of wood for that jewel chest. Great job, you do fine work. Herb
April 6, 20179 yr I agree with Herb, the stuff you do defies words to describe their majesty. Wow, what a nice piece.

April 6, 20179 yr That is beautiful. I love the etchings. I just got a laser "borrowed" a little while back. I am trying to learn to do all of that. So far my work has all been on wood but I would like to do the glass etching. I'll have to get with you on that. I love all your work! You set the bar very high.
April 6, 20179 yr One lucky 'gal' to receive an elegant gift from the heart such as this. Looking at your work is mesmerizing; Trying to absorb the craftsmanship, detail and artistry is impossible. THANKS!
April 6, 20179 yr To what everyone else has said, I can only add "Darn, that's purdy!" And keep posting those humidor pictures. Your work on them is inspirational. Edited April 6, 20179 yr by Gene Howe

I can make bread & butter here, but I can't make one of those humidors... Please accept my humble ransom offering to continue with the humidor series (& jewelry cases and whatever else) I can get more, just give me a little time to speak to my associates...

Please don't stop posting pics of your humidors! I am afraid that my lame attempt at humor was taken the wrong way... I was glad for your gal, and glad that she doesn't smoke stogies! I very much enjoy all of your work. It is like looking at fine art! Cal Edited April 7, 20179 yr by clhyer

Reminds me of a little poem one of our preachers years and years ago used to recite... "...I don't drink nor smoke nor chew, Nor do I date any girls that do..."
