March 18, 20179 yr Remember the idiot that sued a ladder manufacturer because their ladder slipped on a frozen pile of cow manure? Well, here's another Mensa candidate whose heirs will likely bring suit. Cell phone charging

March 18, 20179 yr Popular Post The OP issue reminds me of a situation over 35 years ago where a long established farm equipment & lawn and garden manufacturer with green & yellow colors lost a suit due to ignorant and sympathetic jurors. An individual purchased a new push mower. He liked it so well and thought it did some a great job trimming, he recruited his neighbor so they could trim the hedges between their properties. This was accomplished by each of the stupid parties hoisting the push mower by it's wheels while moving across the top of the hedge. Of course it's all fun & games until an eye gets put out which is exactly what occurred. The owner and neighbor chose to file suit against the dealer and company claiming "no one told them the mower couldn't be used to trim hedges." IDK, maybe the jury was full of pirates, but they awarded in favor of the plaintiffs...a significant amount too...guess they figured a company that is iconic green had plenty of extra green. I think of this atrocity every year I fire up my push mower dealing with engine &/or blade brakes and other safety devices which drive no value except to minimize morons from injuring themselves or other unsuspecting dufusses. Not everyone should be allowed to own power equipment...off the Borax box now...
