I think the pdf I tacked onto the end of  the previous 2X4 Challenge thread got lost ,as there were no comments on it. So I will start a new thread.

 

I found the pictures  of the 2013 entrees  at the end of the Aug. 2013 News letter.

 

I didn't enter that year, but there are some interesting creation. The stool that Bonnie Kline the turner won first prize.

Those are some very nice items created from a 2X4.  We had one over at the Wood Forums and it is the only one I participated in.  I made a floor lamp.

Just getting here Herb to take a look...Lots of talent...I might be competitive in the sawdust / toothpick holder category...of course that's only if the scoring is more heavily weighted toward the sawdust production... I have to agree...that stool was awesome. Thanks for posting the link.

Those turners seem to have a knack I don't have. The bag of sawdust and  toothpick holder  was a joke, she also entered a nice box.

The Vertebrae   statue was a replica of some sort of parasite worm. He also did the vase, another turner.

Figured it was BUT not from my shop...would be an accomplishment...Yes the box she made was very nice...
