March 2, 20179 yr Popular Post The other day, a local school system asked me to build "a few" simple bookcases that will hold plastic bins. I went over to the school today and the few simple bookcases miraculously transformed into 13 - 2 shelf units, 2 wheeled carts and two 6 shelf bookcases plus 3 units for teachers I haven't spoken so so I don't have a clue what they want. . Nice job but definitely not "a few".
March 2, 20179 yr I would have thought a few would have been 3 or so. Whatever they call it, great job Ron! Great score!
March 2, 20179 yr Few is less than several and more than two. Sounds like they need to work on their math a bit. Sounds like a nice job, regardless. Bid it at more than a few dollars.
March 2, 20179 yr Author Popular Post The good news is that I have until the end of the summer. Baltic birch plywood here I come.
March 3, 20179 yr Baltic birch can be a life saver . Especially since it will likely be finished with paint.
March 3, 20179 yr Popular Post In my vocabulary there is a "couple-three", then a few, then "five or six". I peg a few at 4, Cal
March 3, 20179 yr the nice part is it's just as easy to do a dozen as it is to do 3. bid on a per piece basis and set up for mass -production and run with it

March 3, 20179 yr I'm with the rest, a few is three to five. That sound like a bunch to me. Where are the donuts????
March 4, 20179 yr Teachers have asked me to build bookcases, shelves, etc. several times in the past and I always do it for the price of materials plus a modest charge for labor. Those folks don't have much money and often need help. hat

From the sounds of it Ron you'll need a few pieces of BB ply to get started along with a few other items; probably can complete and deliver a few units at a time... This project may also require you to work a few hours a day, a few days a week and may stop you from doing a few other things during the next few months... Of course I could give you a few more suggestions, but I have a few other things to do in the next few minutes. Hope this helps get you started...
