February 26, 20179 yr Popular Post So I just finished (except for mounting the vises) my workbench which is loosely patterned after the Paul Sellers bench that He uses at his shows. And boy is it rock solid. I made it all from box store 2x4's and a couple of 2x12's for the aprons; most of which I had around the basement. I have 2 record #52 1/2 vises that I will mount tomorrow... I hope. I cant wait to get crackin on the new bench.
February 26, 20179 yr Great workbench. I doubt you'll be moving it around much in the shop. The shavings on the floor tell a lot about the work that went into it.
February 26, 20179 yr @dsbender...NICE job...great looking bench...of course we want pictures once the vises are mounted too. Thanks for taking time to share.

February 27, 20179 yr Author Popular Post Well heres the vises all mounted and looking like their ready for some work... I put the quick release Record as the tail vise I love the way that they clamp the work, unlike my store bought bench (no names mentioned) Even my wife was impressed

February 28, 20179 yr Still a nice looking bench and here's hoping you get a lot of years of good service from it.
March 2, 20179 yr Now that you have the vises on it, do you need someone to proof test it for you ? Edited March 2, 20179 yr by It Was Al B
