When it too cold we stay in and puzzle.

I do try to match up the frames to the pictures. And another on the table right now. One fence slat will make a frame so you got 2 bucks invested before the finish. After its built, I added white glaze to the cedar frame then after it dries a few colors of very fine glitter to bring out the snowy picture then coated with clear lacquer.  Thomas Kinkade puzzles makes a bare room come to life..

Love this!

My Mom (91) is a puzzle fanatic! Every time she puts together a particularly difficult puzzle, I am "volunteered" to make the frame. I think this one was the most difficult-

Nice idea Jess.  Always seemed a shame to take one apart once it was done.  My son and his grandmother spent a lot of time doing puzzles.  He still does a few with his sons.

Great ideas, guys.  Gotta keep that one in mind.  (But will watch out the the "volunteered" thing.)

Wow, Lew I've never seen a puzzle that dark before. I know this would be one devil to put together.

It was unreal.

I think we must have put each piece in at least 3 times before we got it together. My brother brought it back when he visited in Europe.

The hardest puzzle we ever tried was one that had the same picture on the back side but was turn halfway around. After we finally got it together we carefully took it apart, boxed it back up and then the next year gave it back to the giver as a present.

Check out Google for strange jigsaw puzzles the world has to offer or something like that...amazing..

Used to love doing jigsaw puzzles! Back in the late 50's, mother would do her shopping every Friday. Without fail, she would bring back two things: a barbecued chicken and a jigsaw puzzle. The first was just under a dollar, the second was 29 cents, but often went on special for 19 cents! Those puzzles were assembled over and over again, and several are still around.

Putting jigsaw puzzles to gather IMG_0231.thumb.JPG.a48289678f3cde8c4078fe7ac62bddd2.JPGis one of my pastimes. My daughter in law gave me, two Christmas, wooden 1/8 thick Christmas puzzles, which I framed and we would hang them up every year.

That is very cool!

Wife and I did a 1K piece one of a fire stick twirled in total darkness. Nothing but reds, blues, yellows and lots of black. But not as frustrating as the two sided one Patch did.

Just so you can find it if you want to work it. The two sided puzzle was, " The garden of good and evil " the front was kinda two sides, half yellow and half was kinda black.

Anyone do the 3D  puzzles ?
