February 11, 20178 yr make boxes. duh. they are like bowls, only more square. and less wasted wood! next question!
February 11, 20178 yr When hollowing end grain I have the work piece mounted in chuck so there is a tenon on the bottom.Outside is shaped and sanded. While hollowing the inside use a measuring device or laser to check thickness of the bottom. When inside is to proper depth and side walls set the piece is reversed and tenon cut off so no danger of going thru the bottom.
