When the state remodeled our state house (Idaho) several years ago our woodworking club came out with some the trees that were planted by presidents. Our members made all types of things for the project. All that we made went to the state house. The pictures are  what I made and they put one in every office in the state house. I made 160 of these and donated them all but a few I kept for myself.

Nice job. I like that.

What a great idea.  Sweet!

Pretty Cool! Great Job!

Gee, you could make a bigger one for duck tape.   :D

nice...

That's pretty cool, how did you engrave the letters?

The letters were laser engraved. The eyeball was brass welding rod. I am drawing up plans for a duck tape dispenser. Don't stay up to late.

Thanks for all the comments.

Got here late today Preston...Those are absolutely cool. Even better is the story and the origination of the wood...What a tribute. Assume they succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease?

Thanks for sharing the project & the story...make sure a copy of the story gets tucked away with each of the ones you have.
