Boys aren't supposed to like pink but that is nice.  What are you using for polish.  I've been using PlastX, get it at the auto parts stores.  Works real well.

I am sanding up to 1,500. I have a three wheel buffer I put on my lathe. The first wheel is Tripoli, the second wheel is White Diamond and the third wheel is Carnauba but I only use the third wheel on wood.

I use the PlastX while it is still mounted on the lathe with a paper towel.  No buffing wheels involved so it is one less step.
