Home made chatter tool.

Featured Replies

I researched the chatter tool and its use.  I found this video and I'm going to make one. Thought you like to see it in action.  Remember it only works on end grain.

Hey, all of mine will do that on any direction of the grain.

I thought I had to pay extra for that or at least that is what the salesman said when he took my money.

I also have this home made knurling tool I made myself without any help. You got to be quick and maybe I need to use a smaller sharpened bicycle sprocket cause once you get it going you can't make it stop. Heck, most all the walls and floor and ceiling has been knurled around the lathe and a few feet of the driveway, looks purty good though. Reminds me of a caterpillar worm who had a jet pack on when he got stepped on and dug out. My neighbors don't even look anymore when they hear that loud buzzing sound, they jusk duck and go back it the house.

The postmans sack has my doings on it and one hand, he says it is un useable, but hey it only take two fingers to put a letter in the mail box, so I can't understand what the lawsuit is all about.

They say laughter is the best medicine. That would explain why I haven't even had a sniffle since I joined TPW!

Funny...

People with metal lathe try so hard to stop chatter and

People with wood lathes try so hard to make it....
