January 2, 20179 yr Good Morning Friends, Well it looks like I am starting the New Year off in a good fashion for today I have some Poplar coming in to make 150 foot of base trim and it will be nice to see an old friend again for it has been a while since our last encounter. I also already have three jobs on the floor left over from last year to start on as soon as I get the trim made. Have a good week everyone. Edited December 8, 20178 yr by Ron Dudelston tags added
January 2, 20179 yr A great way to start the new year in the shop. I'm still mending from my left knee replacement so no shop time for me yet.
January 2, 20179 yr John I am reminded of the scene in "Finding Forrester" where Connery says, "You might learn to hold back a bit". Ha! Or at least shrink the picture just a little. Or title it "invasion of the brain eaters" or something! My wife had hip replaced couple months ago, and hopefully the knee will do as well. You have about twice the "zipper" as a hip takes these days. Ow.
January 2, 20179 yr Quote I have some Poplar coming in Ralph, I'd be interested in hearing why you don't use poplar more often.

Geez John, I hurt for ya' and with ya' just looking at your knee. Happy you're still on the mend and able to spend some time with us.
January 2, 20179 yr I can't think of a better way to start off the new year than by seeing an old friend and catch up a little
January 2, 20179 yr Nice job to have. Let the machine do all the work. Feeding it in the machine is easy
January 3, 20179 yr Author Well Guys, do to the weather yesterday my friend didn't come around so I sanded a desk top for about six hours and still have 150 and 220 to do yet. I use a lot of poplar all the time and as a matter of fact I plan to buy more soon for I am totally out right now. Weather permitting. Edited January 3, 20179 yr by Ralph Allen Jones

January 3, 20179 yr Author The desk is 5' by 30" x 30" inches high and is a mission style desk with two drawers. Oh I forgot to mention that it is made out of Walnut. Edited January 3, 20179 yr by Ralph Allen Jones
