Hoosier Veteran Laid to Rest Today

His Nephew is a friend of mine.

RIP, Sir, You have done a very good job.   Well Done.

Thanks, Dave. He really was a great American hero.

He is a true American Hero. When I am on post and I see one of these persons from the greatest generation I make it a point to go talk to them. The love the recognition and to tell stories. I am honored to be in their presence. I cannot ever live up to who they are and what they have done.

My suggestion to all is, the next time you see one of these gentlemen wearing their WWII Veteran hat, go talk to them. They are literally a dying breed.

Rest in peace my brother at arms.

Nor can I to you...

A different time and war, yes...but same call to duty and sacrifice...

Grandpadave,

Thank you kindly. I was happy to do it. Until I got past 30 years old and the body started to hurt I enjoyed it and thought that being in the military was just the way life was.  I joined when I was 17 so I did know anything else.

Robert Hyatt - RIP - we honor you in every way we can.

A true American Hero. Rest in Peace sir, as you did not see enough during your life
