December 21, 20169 yr Popular Post The most time consuming thing I was ever involved in. More than 200 pieces There's not a lot of short cuts involved in something like this.
December 21, 20169 yr I knew it would be a great piece when finished. You just proved me correct... Really super Jess, who is it for? Cal
December 21, 20169 yr Love the flow of this and the southern belle should sell well in the south. Now you can do one of Scarlett and call it Gone with the Wind. Use the green curtain she made a dress from.
December 21, 20169 yr Author I forgot to mention since the colors are powder except the frame and are applied dry with my finger, it makes it easy to control and cheap. A rag or tissue can remove some if one wants light pastel colors.. These came from Hobby L in the painting section, well duh!!
December 21, 20169 yr Author Gerald, "gone with the wood" might fit better. Too bad I didn't think of her, pretty female, actually I do think of the pretty gals often.
December 21, 20169 yr 3 hours ago, Smallpatch said: That's a bad excuse Herb. What do you call building the Harp??????? Intarsia is a painstaking exacting craft where every piece has to fit exactly or it shows up big time. My scroll saw skills are very minimal And I don't have the patients to cut and re cut pieces that don't quite fit. And duplicating pieces like you did in the corners so they look the same and are mirror images to boot. I am envious of you talent. You did a beautiful job on that , I must say, and you have a right to be proud of your work. Herb
December 22, 20169 yr Patch, If this is Bo-Peep, you forgot the sheep... If not Bo-Peep, well then never mind and BTW absolutely a great piece of art!
