You always want to go out of this life with a prize with your name on it to show the world wood was part of your life.

Well this here thing would be it. But I would have to have my wife and kids sitting in it also. I would have to build it about ten foot wide to accommodate the three of them. And since I don't have time for the murphy beds before they are needed, behind the back burner they will go.

I snatched this picture off of Pinterest and thought my name would look great surrounded with these carvings..Don't know the builders name but he deserves credit. Just thinking, he would have to go hide after I finished building mine.2f47a12ba45bb6f6067faafa22094642 carved chair.jpg

And since go-carts were part of my life I would build a go-cart frame and wheels for it to sit on and make the steering wheel long enough so I could lean back real far and enjoy the moment...And a long horn that honks when you squeeze the rubber bulb.

The doctor did say I could live thirty more years if things go right so I believe I would have just enough free time to finish it before I expire..

Wood, since mesquite is the terrible king in these parts, mesquite will be my choice to use. Another problem, I do like the white on this chair and mesquite don't come in this color so I better check with the doctor and see if he can extend my life about 20 more years more than the last prediction for mesquite grows very slowly and I sure don't like to use stain or dye and I am just about out of printers ink.

I think I will go out to the shop and start cleaning an area for the prep-oration for the chair construction to begin. I got some mesquite beans in the garage so I better go plant them right now while I got it on my mind...oh, the white mesquite wood. Texas A and M has changed the color of carrots to purple and since I got a son in law with lots of pull down there I will get him to do some tall talking and see if those guys can grow me some white mesquite..I understand there is lots of back scratching going on in these colleges so maybe he can get er done..

My wife just come walking by and I told her I was gonna make her this chair for our house, she said, yea that would fit right in with our 2x4 furniture and kept walking.

She had always had this funny dry sense of humor.

You're just going to have to keep us up to date on this project - - - - - - 25-30 years?  I probably won't make it that far so just send the pictures to my sons.  I will leave the url to this post in my will.

Purple carrots?

Looks like one of a set.

After seeing your clocks - you will build one awesome chair

Wouldn't it be easier to go buy that one and tell everyone you made it???????

Hush Fred, I thought I would buy a chair like this, take it apart, show a different part each few days and wa- la, hey guys look, I built a chair...but wait, with my failing thinker going to pot I would probably forget how to get it back together....

Fred I'm not really making lots of things anymore, I just keep reshowing the same old things.
