Hospital Bed Table

Several years ago a friend of my late  wifes was nearly bed bound and she asked if I could make a table like a hospital adjustable table so here is what I came up with. The post and bottom is made fron white oak along with the bracing under the top. The top is made from 3/4" plywood covered in plastic laminate. The steel tube is 2 1/2"X 2 1/2" , and the slide is a 3/4"X1/2" aluminum channel.

I made 2 of these ,one for her and one for us. Good thing too as my wife used it before she passed away.

Very nice build. I like the elevation mechanism using the T-track.

I'm sure these provided a lot of comfort for both ladies.

Very Nice!!

Great design and idea; I may "shamelessly steal" from this later on...likely will have a need for one of these for my folks soon.

I like it !!

Great Job !!!

Well designed and beautifully done. For the intended use, adjusting the height is probably not done very often, but it sure is an important feature.

Nicely done.   Too bad they had to be used...:(
