Cool!! I not sure I'd have enough courage to make one of these. Turning might be OK, Sanding, to me, would be the  scary part!

 

Lathe looks like it sets rock solid. Have you added any extra weight in the base?

    Another wing bowl.  I am roughing out these from Green wood and coating them with pentacryl and storing them
