November 27, 20169 yr Popular Post My wife is big time quilter and wanted a small quilt rack. I had already made her a large 8 footer. We looked at several small ones and she showed me features she liked. I made one out of Oak. It features ratchets, spreaders, an equipment tray and some fancy knobs. I threaded the wood and made the trihandled knobs, just to see if I could do it. I had just purchased a big cast iron table saw and wanted to try angle difficult cuts, so I made the triangular handle knobs just for fun.
November 27, 20169 yr Nice! Showed it to the wife. She liked it too but, she prefers using a hoop in her lap. Different strokes, I guess. She doesn't even want a rack for display.
November 28, 20169 yr That's awesome Ron; this is intended as a compliment not an insult ...looks precision machine built. The knobs are great, but did you make the gears and pawls also?
