November 20, 20169 yr Popular Post Spent the week helping a daughter by watching the grandkids while son-in-law was doing a trade show. It's hard to walk around my kids' homes without seeing some of my projects. Here are few of hers: Shaker sewing box Foray into hand-cut dovetails, coaster set Shadow box for wedding bouquet Keepsake box, HS graduation Candle stands, also used in wedding Knick-knack shelf, actually she made this when she was about 11 or 12 with my help. Picture framing and matting Toy building blocks Linen cabinet in kid's bathroom, made to fit in a corner and match store-bought vanity. Boy's platform beds (meant as an interim until they get bunk beds) -- pardon the mess Tow-Mater Adirondack chair for the "Cars" fan More framing and matting (needlepoint done by another daughter) Foyer bench / storage unit for winter clothes Yet more framing (one for each of 4 kids with annual school photos) Jewelry box and necklace stands Master bedroom bed and nightstands Master bedroom dressers. While I ordered the wood from a company that is a major distributor of quarter-sawn wood, the ash does not come quarter-sawn, so the grain is a bit wilder than I'd hoped. One of these is the one that broke my toe. Master bath linen cabinet for the alcove, likewise to match purchased vanity. Had to do in two pieces to get it into the spot once the toilet was in. Clothes hook for the "cupcake room" (Natalie) Seat and stool combo Rocking horse
