November 17, 20169 yr the parade is for a fallen first responder... Last week in our sleepy little town of Byron, Georgia we lost two of our finest. Responding to a feud between neighbors two Peach County Sheriff's Deputies were gunned down. One died that night, the second died about three days later. Deputy Patrick Sondren, 41, was an Air Force veteran and leaves a wife and three teen children. Deputy Darryl Smallwood, 39, was a Marine veteran and leaves three young children. Our whole community was/is still in shock over this. Pat was a friend of mine, and was very active in the local Mopar club. Both deputies were trained by my wife when she was a basic mandate instructor at the regional police academy as well as periodic advanced training. She has taken this very hard. Thanks for reading, Cal

November 17, 20169 yr Cal, this is becoming way too commonplace in our society today. We will be praying for the healing of your community.
