This is one of my most used gadgets it my shop. I can't take credit for it as it was in Wood magazine by our friend Matt Seiler. When he starts posting here you will always see one or two on his bench.

Nice. What did you use for the cutting insert? BTW, the5e's a reason Matt always had several of those sitting around, he would use 2-3 rolls of the blue tape on every project (it seemed). giggling.gif

That's cool Joe...I need to do something like that...instead I just have several rolls of tape laying all around in hopes of finding one when I need it.:P

I always thought I would make one of those someday.  Haven't yet but it is a nifty gadget.

That's really cool, Joe!

I, too, would like to know what you used for the cutter insert.

Very nice looking AND very useful

You just solved the Christmas present problem I had..

 Thanks,

Herb

Just a piece of old hacksaw blade.

great idea....

I use mine almost every day.

Tape wife's mouth when she comes in the door. Some of each color works good.good place for the tape.jpg

Amazing how all of these rolls are the same inside diameter.

This little jewel will have cost me a fortune if she ever reads this.

That's a sharpened hacksaw blade up front. I'll never tell what the holes are for!!

Herb, That's what happened to me, I made four before I got to keep one.

Thanks for reminding me, I will make enough so there are some left over , need some around the shop too.

Don't think I will make one like @Smallpatch did, that is above my skill level I think.

WUT!!!

you doubt the man's word???

I use a lot of masking tape with masking paper.  I use one of these.   It's expensive, but it saves a lot of time and frustration.   I grab the end of the paper pull out what I need and it cuts it off.

The other dispenser I use is one of these, known as an ATG (adhesive transfer gun).   It dispenses what is essentially a film of adhesive only and the paper backing is pulled off and re-wound.   I use it in picture framing to layer mat board and to attach a dust cover on the back.

band saw blade or the cutter off a poly wrap box would do.
